After Death fell asleep again, I decided that I would make her breakfast in bed. One small problem though, I have no idea how to cook. That soup we ate last night was miso from a packet, and I have no instant breakfast powder. All I really eat for breakfast is order out leftovers. I found some eggs in the back of the fridge that didn't smell too rancid, so I decided to fry some of those up.

I buttered the pan like I used to see Fate do before cracking the eggs in. I may have gotten some shell bits in there but probably not a noticeable amount. Now it's time to flip the eggs, but how?I Tried using a spoon, but that didn't turn out to well. I ended up chopping the egg into little pieces and flinging them up and back into the pan. They didn't look to bad if I do say so myself.

I poured a small glass of water and put the breakfast in the dumbwaiter. After ascending the stair case, I pulled the food up. Death was going to be so happy. I put a note on the tray telling her I was going to be out most of the day and left it on her bedside table. As I headed back downstairs to get my bag ready, I started to wonder if Death liked me like I liked her. That's not important now, I thought to myself as I pulled on a hoodie, what's important is that she stays safe when I'm gone. With everything ready, I locked three of the six locks on my door so if anybody tried to break in, there would always be three latches locked.

I conjured a small cloud go down on. once on the ground, I walked to the stable to get my horse Damon. Damon was an seven foot tall Friesan who was intimidating to most people. I rode out into the village when a nobleman stopped me. "I was just going to your manor, Mage. I was wondering if you would do me the honor of being my guest at a little gala I'm having. You can bring your little girlfriend," he said jokingly.

"She's not my girlfriend," I answered hatefully,"And we wouldn't miss it for the world."

"If she's not your girlfriend, why are you buying her roses?" This is why I hate going to the village when it's not necessary. I ignored his teasing as I bought some fresh eggs and strawberries. "See you tomorrow night," The nobleman called as I rode off.

I came home to see Death waiting for me. "Breakfast was delicious, Fear. Thank you," she smiled at me and gave me a small kiss on the cheek, which made me smile like an idiot.

"Oh, uh Death? Some guy in town said he wanted us to go to a 'gala' or something. We don't have to go if you don't want to."

"That sounds like so much fun, Fear! I've never been to a gala before. Can we go?"

"Not only can we go, we will go," I smiled and ruffled her hair. If she wanted to go, so did I.
